I’ve been coming here for quiet sometime, The Owners are pretty much great people,very cool and laid back, what I love about this place is that Varnish not only has the most traffic but it welcomes all races & people, it’s also the one place where you can dance, sing or even mosh (lightly). It’s a really fun, young and a vibrant club/bar. The moment you arrive you’re greeted with lights,outdoor music, beautiful women and smiles at the desk or maybe even a dope ass convo with the door guys. Shout Out Ryan. But This place has a lot going for it, This place has a lot of definition. Would not be Surprised if they open a second location.

It is the perfect mix of energy and class! The atmosphere is electric, with great music, stylish decor, and just the right vibe. The staff is top-notch—friendly, fast, and always making sure you have a great time. Easily one of the best spots for a night

I love this place! The drinks are super creative and nowhere else are there three totally different floors for a club, which is an added bonus. The bouncers are always so nice to me and my friends too, and I know a lot of the bartenders by name because I don’t know what I want to drink a lot of the time, and they all make me something different each time, I love it!

First time here at Varnish — hearing that they’ve been open less than 6 months SHOCKS me! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, the drinks are delicious, & the specials are super fun. I’m looking forward to visiting again. Thank you, Sammy! :-) PS They’re dog friendly!!! Amazing!

Varnish is easily one of the best spots in Wilmington for a night out. The three levels give you different vibes. You can go to the chill lounge downstairs, high-energy club with an insane sound system and LED wall in the middle, and a more exclusive lounge upstairs. The bartenders are super friendly, and the whole place feels really welcoming. They also throw some great events, which adds to the inclusive atmosphere. Overall, it’s a solid place whether you’re looking to dance, grab drinks, or just vibe with friends.

As a bar rat, enjoying a club is a surprise to me. But varnish is awesome, the owners are involved, bartenders are super fun and the bouncers are friendly and quick witted. If you’re looking for a true club experience in Wilmington then you’ve got to check this place out!

If you're looking for somewhere to dance -- this is THE place to be. 3 levels and each floor has its own vibe. Either way, the music and drinks hit every time. Be prepared to wait, but the line moves fairly quick depending on the occasion. Oh, and don't go on the 2nd floor unless you're fine being on top of each other.
